how to develop your own website

  • Submissions must be accompanied by the applicable submission fee PER ENTRY and a completed film festival submission form. All films must be in English or have English subtitles.
  •  Films must be submitted as a VIMEO password-protected streaming URL.
  • In the event of a password change or link change after submitting, you must email Festivilia at immediately with that change so we may update your record.
  • Films must have been completed at least 2 years before submitting. This is because, by default, the lifespan of a film for festival runs is 2 years. We will only accept films older than 2 years on very exceptional cases.
  • Films that are publicly available online are advised to either be taken down or password protected as festivals are strongly against films publicly available online to be screened at their festivals. Films can be publicly available online after their festival runs or in our case after the expiration of our contract.
  • Private invite-only screenings (for instance for cast and crew or donors) do not affect a film’s eligibility for submission.
  • Festivilia reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject any entries that do not meet up with our in-house screening criteria.
  • Films that are selected to screen at some festivals may not necessarily be selected to be “in competition” for awards purposes. Notifications regarding potential selection for competition status possibly may occur subsequent to notifications of acceptance for an exhibition.
